Are you an apprentice who could do with a helping hand?
A scholarships program is open for 150 people who will get $15,000 each to complete their training and further their career.
Applications to the Bert Evans Apprentice Scholarships program must be made by this Friday, July 21.
The scholarships support apprentices who are experiencing financial or personal hardship. Applicants must be committed to their education and training on and off the job.
The funds can be used to buy new tools, cover fuel or car maintenance cost or pay for training courses.
The scholarship program is named in honour of the late Bert Evans who was a passionate advocate of vocational education for more than 30 years.
Since 2014, there have been 751 Bert Evans Apprentice Scholarships awarded.
The State Government-run program offers grants of $5000 each year for three years.
