When comedian Gary Eck cut and stole Jacob Stone’s hair on stage it was funny for everyone except Jacob.

At the Beef Week Fashion Show at the Casino RSM Club last night, Tuesday, May 21, local models strutted the best of Casino’s fashion.

Nervously, Beef Week event organiser Jacob was in the audience watching, sitting on the edge of his seat.

He had agreed to a makeover and with his long locks and shaggy beard, it was always going to be a dramatic one. Jacob was using the moment to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

Gary, from Sydney, a guest at Beef Week, decided he’d get a head start on the makeover by bringing Jacob up on stage.

Under the ruse that the real makeover people were late, Gary haphazardly cut off Jacob’s ponytail.

Gary plonked the ponytail on his bald head declaring that he had waited all his life for this.

The crowd loved it. Jacob not so much, he was laughing but also looked a little shocked.

As the second half of the fashion show went ahead, Jacob was backstage getting his beard trimmed by Michael Day from Black Comb Barbershop and Abby Hughes from The Ivy Room Hair Studio did his hair. He was dressed by Gooley’s Menswear.

At the end of the show, comperes Jess Edwards and Karen Eck announced the new improved Jacob.

And boy did he look different. Hair short, trimmed beard and in a blue suit, Gary joked that Jacob’s Instagram profile would be vastly improved now he looked so schmick.

Jacob was happy with his new look and the $1000 raised for cancer research.
