It was a happy rescue when VRA Rescue NSW Region North operations manager Paul Cowles helped a dog at Spring Grove today, Tuesday, January 28.
At 5pm, Mr Cowles assisted an off-duty police officer and other family members to release a family dog trapped beneath a fallen tree.
They used hand tools and a Weber Combi rescue tool along with some cribbing to reach the dog beneath the tree.
Another off-duty rescue officer helped.
The dog was released, unharmed.
Not the usual rescue the VRA Squad go to, but it was a happy ending.
