For decades the stationery shop on Barker St, Casino has been providing notebooks, invoice books, printer cartridges and everything you might need for your office.

This Friday, February 17, Dolphin Office Choice will close the doors on its Casino shop.

Helen Cowan has worked at the Casino shop for 10 years with Office Choice and for 16 years when it was a stationery shop owned by the Northern Star.

“Casino kids used to roll up the Express Examiner newspaper in the back of the shop,” Ms Cowan said.

The shop has had several owners since then.

Current owners Dolphin Office Choice made the decision to close the Casino store, Ms Cowan said.

The owner has five shops and is reducing to four so the Casino shop stock will go to the Lismore shop on Three Chain Rd.

The Lismore stationery shop will deliver to Casino on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Ms Cowan and other staff at the Casino shop have already had offers of work.

She will spend some time helping move the stock to the Lismore shop and then she’ll be back in Casino working.

If people need notebooks they can go to the newsagent in Walker St. Richmond Technology is a few doors down from Office Choice, supplies print cartridges, she said.
