The eastern face of the Casino water tower is being painted by The Brightsiders artists Steve Falco and Jordan Bruce.

The artists were here in February but returned to Brisbane while it rained…and rained…and rained.

Now they’re back and will spend five weeks completing the water tower mural.

“We’ve been welcomed back,” Steve said. “It’s like people know us now.”

People toot their car horns as they drive by, Steve said.

Steve and  Jordan are working on the eastern side of the mural, drawing and painting a farmer and his dog in a field of sunflowers.

The funding to paint the mural comes from a $125,000 Australian Government Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery grant.

Richmond Valley Council shortlisted several mural artists and The Brightsiders group was chosen to paint the 975 square metres of Casino’s water tower.

This is a representation of what is being painted on the eastern side.
