Six Queen entrants were interviewed on stage by NBN news commentator Adam Murray at the Beef Week Official Opening at Casino RSM Club.
Rachel Redman, Kara Porter, Danielle Bennett, Olivia Armstrong, Portia Burnie and Liberty James were the entrants.
Only one of them could be crowned queen and the title of Beef Week Queen 2023 went to Kara Porter.
Last year’s Queen Tayla Dawson handed over the crown and the satin, royal blue gown.
Kara was overwhelmed to win and shed a few tears in her first speech as Queen.
Kara’s parents Alyssa and Wade Porter said they were very proud of their daughter.
Runner-up was Rachel Redman.
