The Bentley Art Prize celebrates its 40th anniversary this August.
The popular art event was started by Reg and Phyllis Hartley in 1985.
They were the mainstays of the show working with a team of volunteers until 2005 when Helen Trustum became the coordinator.
Helen was coordinator for 18 years. On her retirement in 2023 a new team stepped up.
Volunteer Wendy Harris said everyone was excited to reach this anniversary milestone.
The BAP begins on Friday August 1, with wine and nibbles from 7-9pm and finishes at 2pm on Sunday August 3.
On Saturday and Sunday, a host of market stalls featuring handmade goods such as jewellery, cow and kangaroo hide items, dog collars and leads, botanical print products, crafted wood, acid-washed t-shirts and children’s clothes and candles. There will also be food stalls, and cakes and jams to take home.

Sunday August 3, Jamie Sullivan, 9.45am-12pm
