BgF – Bloody Good Food is what you’ll get at Bonalbo Bowls and Sports Club on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Alison Trevor and Beth Keevers from Kyogle are reopening the dining room at the bowlo.

Think warm apple strudel, succulent prawns, delicious snapper and fresh vegetables and fruit.

Alison is the cook and is keen to use fresh ingredients. She’s excited about the “new sensational oven” too.

“I’m the fresh food Queen,” Alison said.

“If anyone has a dietary requirement, it’s my thing.

“You don’t get a lot of call for it out here, but if you’re vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free – just ask.”

Alison ran the Uki Café for awhile and has been in the hospitality business forever.

“I love food. I love what you can do. You can take basic simple ingredients and make something special.”

Alison’s partner Beth is by her side in the kitchen helping where needed.

The couple opened briefly a few months ago but the kitchen wasn’t up to scratch.

That has changed and the sports club kitchen has two new ovens, stove top, fridge and freezer.

Alison and Beth reopen Beales BgF tomorrow night, Thursday, July 21 at 5.30-8pm.

“We’re keen to give it a red-hot go,” Alison said.

Beales BgF is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week 5.30-8pm at Bonalbo Bowls and Sports Club.

Alison and Beth would like to feature artworks from Bonalbo artists on the walls of the dining area. Any local artists can call Alison on 0434 512 944.
