A boy from Kyogle was injured in a tackle during a rugby league match between the 13s Ballina Seagulls and Kyogle at Evans Head yesterday, Saturday, August 8.
At 1.30pm, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to Evans Head.
The boy was treated for back injuries and was taken by road ambulance to Lismore Base Hospital.
On social media, Kyogle junior league president Adam Simpson informed everyone that the boy was doing well and is cleared of any serious injury.
