Last year the rodeo was cancelled because of the floods. Coming this May, it’s back.

The Westlawn Beef Week Rodeo returns for its 20th year to Casino Beef Week on May 27.

The rodeo happens on Beef Week Saturday after the Street Parade.

Beef Week president Brody Lisha said he was thrilled the rodeo is back.

“It’s an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy an action-packed evening of entertainment,” Mr Lisha said.

President of Casino Rodeo and Campdraft Association president Jack Maloney said he was keen to showcase local rodeo riders and competitors again.

The gates to the Casino Showgrounds will open at 3pm with the rodeo kicking off at 4:30pm. The event finishes at 8.30pm. Cost of entry for the rodeo is Family $50, Adult $20, Concession $15, child under 16 years of age $10 and under 5 free.

The event will be commentated by rodeo announcer Terry Murry. There will be a large screen TV for instant replays of the most exciting action.

Tickets will be available soon online here. Keep an eye on the link for when tickets go on sale. Remaining tickets can be bought at the gate.
