The NSW Rural Fire Service has declared an early end to the bush fire danger period in the Northern Rivers.
From Thursday, February 3, fire permits will no longer be required in the rural areas of Kyogle, Richmond Valley, Lismore, Ballina, Tweed and Byron areas.
The danger period was scheduled to end on March 31 but favourable weather conditions have meant an early end to the period.
Residents must still notify their neighbours and the RFS 24 hours before burning.
