Rescue helicopter flies to car crash scene at Wardell

At 1:10am this morning, Wednesday, March 23, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to an accident site at Wardell where a car had crashed into a tree.
A man in his 20s sustained multiple leg and pelvic injuries in the accident.
The man was treated on the scene by paramedics and the helicopter critical care medical team before he was transported by road ambulance to Ballina Airport and from there was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
