Car crashes into tree on Bruxner Hwy near Drake

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to the scene of a car crash on the Bruxner Hwy today, Saturday, April 23 at 11am.

There were reports that a car had crashed into a tree with a person trapped inside, on the highway near Drake.

NSW Police, NSW Fire and Rescue, local rescue organisations and multiple ambulance paramedic units attended the scene.

Paramedics and the helicopter critical care medical team treated and stabilised the 67 year old woman driver after she was released from the wreckage.

The woman was airlifted to Lismore Hospital with multiple injuries in a stable condition for further treatment.
