Casino Rescue Squad was called out to a property in Drake at 12.43pm today, April 26.
A man was suffering a severe medical episode and the rescue squad crew helped to get the man out of the house to an ambulance, and again from the ambulance into the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
Casino Rescue Squad sent two crew members to help at Drake leaving a full crew Casino in case of any further call outs.
On scene at Drake were highway patrol police from Glen Innes and Tenterfield, police from Bonalbo, RFS from Drake and several ambulance units.
Everyone worked well as a team and the patient was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital for specialist treatment.
The rescue crew thanked the local who provided the use of their all terrain vehicle to assist in getting the patient to the helicopter.
