Casino has been put on the gingerbread house map.

Residents at aged care facility Whiddon Casino were awarded a high commendation place for their Casino City display in the annual Whiddon Gingerbread House Competition.

Each year residents from Whiddon’s 23 residential aged care homes across regional and rural NSW and south-east Queensland take part in the decorating competition.

The competition began as a way to bring residents closer together after covid restrictions,

Many lollies and gingerbread were eaten in the making of the displays.

Judging was based on the theme or story that represented the residents’ home area.

Congratulations Casino residents. We have one question for you – do you need help eating Casino City?
