Why We’re Hosting the Christmas in the Country
The heavy rains that caused the cancellation of our 115th Kyogle Show prompted us to find a way to uplift our community. In response to this loss, we held a special meeting to bring some holiday cheer back into our lives.
To help recoup some of the costs we incurred and stay true to our existing commitments, we decided to organise a one-off pop-up Christmas event. Our primary goal is to create an affordable and joyful experience for everyone. Buy your tickets here.
Join us for an unforgettable afternoon
We’re thrilled to invite you to the Kyogle Christmas in the Country Event. Gates open at noon on Saturday, November 23 and we can’t wait to celebrate the festive season with the community.
Tickets and giveaways
Tickets are selling fast online, and we have a special treat to spread a little extra Christmas cheer. Everyone who purchases a ticket online will automatically be entered for a chance to win a Christmas Hamper valued at $1000. Don’t miss out on this chance to make your holiday season even brighter. There will also be more giveaways on the day, making it a truly exciting afternoon for everyone.
Thrilling events and attractions
Experience the adrenaline of our Demolition Derby, where local talent goes head-to-head in reverse. Kurt Reeves, our organiser this year and a regular supporter and local driver, shared that the drivers are thrilled to finally have the chance to smash the cars they had been working so hard on for the show.
Another highlight is the incredible and noisy Fence Post Ripping event, where spectators can witness the skill and strength of the competitors. After the event, we’ll auction off the fence posts.
Capture holiday memories with Santa photos, run by our Young Women contestants with the talented Charlize Taylor—this year’s winner—donating her time as the photographer. The photo station will be set up in the Luncheon Pavilion.
We’re also excited to collaborate with the Bazaar team for this event. They have been incredibly supportive, moving their entire markets over to Christmas in the Country, along with their volunteers.
This spirit of community unity is truly inspiring, and we’re proud to work together to make it all happen. Get ready for an amazing shopping experience loaded with local small businesses offering special and unique gifts.
Fun for everyone
For thrill seekers, a major drawcard is the Ultimate Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course, where you can challenge friends and family and compete for victory on a massive 36metre inflatable course.
We also have a little kids’ Santa jumping castle, a Super Slide, a storm swing ride, and a BIG jumping castle, along with extra games to keep everyone entertained.
All these rides will be available for unlimited use with a ride pass for just $15 per person, which can be purchased via EFTPOS at the event.
Evening thrills with the Bull Ride
As the day transitions into evening, don’t miss the huge Bull Ride starting late afternoon with J&J Rodeo.
Celebrate with live music
As the festivities continue, enjoy live music from the talented Teak Fairfull.
