Casino’s Fire and Rescue crew headed to a structure fire reported in Walker St at 12.24pm today, Saturday, October 22.
When they arrived at the School of Arts building, they found a clothes dryer had caught alight inside the building.
The fire crew removed the dryer from the building and extinguished the fire.
Fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus used a thermal camera to check if the fire had extended into the surrounding areas of the building.
A single lane of Walker St was closed during the incident.
