Original story

Little Sushi has been missing for two weeks.

The black toy poodle, pictured above, has a blue collar on and is somewhere in the Ettrick area according to recent sightings of the lost dog.

Owner Jennifer Wise and family from Eden Creek are heartbroken.

They lost Sushi on a family kayak trip when they paddled from Dr Binnys Bridge to Andrew Campbell Bridge at Ettrick.

“Sushi and our other dog, Benny were in the kayaks,” Jennifer said.

The journey took six hours and for the last 500m, Jennfier’s two sons walked and the dogs went along with them.

Jennifer thinks Sushi came back to look for her and got lost.

They have spent hundreds of hours looking for Sushi, Jennifer said.

There have been sightings of the poodle at Iron Pot Creek Bridge, Knights Rd and Imesons Rd.

“If anyone sees him, he bolts,” Jennifer said.

The family has done a letterbox drop asking residents to look out for their pet.

They have asked farmers to offer a little bit of food if they see Sushi to gain her trust.

“It breaks our heart to think she is out there on her own,” Jennifer said.

The upside has been the support from the Ettrick community.

We have met so many helpful people, Jennifer said.

If you see Sushi, be quiet and sit nearby and call Jennifer on 0410 605 694.
