The lights are being turned on at the new suspension bridge in Casino at 5.30pm this Friday, July 24.
Richmond Valley mayor Robert Mustow and State MP Richie Williamson will flick the switch to light up the bridge walkway at 6pm.
The Forge electricians will be finishing the connection works on Thursday and Friday this week, so all going well the lights will be on at 6pm.
There is a free barbecue sausage sizzle at the McAuliffe Park car park, along with some low key music.
The community is encouraged to enjoy the first walk across the bridge at night.
Come along from 5.30pm to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and see how the bridge walkway looks once the lights are turned on.
