Police were called to Canterbury St, Casino after reports of an assault at 12.30am today, Saturday, June 24.
On arrival, police were allegedly threatened by two men – aged 18 and 21 – who then resisted arrest.
During a struggle with officers, the men were tasered.
They were arrested and taken to Casino Police Station, where the older man was charged with assaulting a police officer during a public disorder with no actual bodily harm. He was granted conditional bail to appear in Casino Local Court on July 20.
The other man was charged with affray and granted unconditional bail to appear in the same court on August 24.
There were no reports of injuries.
