Large truckloads of rubbish have been dumped at Tatham and Woodview, outside Casino.

Richmond Valley Council are trying to find out who is responsible.

The council’s regulatory team are seeking information about the dumping near Grissels Rd, Tatham. Two to three truckloads of household waste were dumped on the road reserve.

The second dumping was at Ellems Bridge Rd, Woodview where a large truckload of waste was dumped off a bridge into the creek.

Council staff have some evidence to help identify who did this but are also seeking further information from the public.

Offenders may receive on-the-spot fines of $4000 and court issued fines can be as high as $125,000.
