COVID: 1051 cases in Northern Rivers

There were 1,051 new covid cases reported in the Northern Rivers today.

The positive cases came from 601 PCR tests and 450 positive rapid antigen tests.

Only the PCR tests are allocated an LGA. These are:

Richmond Valley 61

Kyogle 14

Lismore 48

Ballina 63

Byron  78

Clarence Valley 45

Tweed 290

Tenterfield 2 – the cases from Woodenbong and Urbenville post codes come under the Lismore Public Health Unit.

In NSW there are 2,781 people in hospital with covid with 212 people in ICU.

Overnight 25 people died.

NSW reported 30,825 new cases. 13,178 from RATs and 17,647 from PCR testing.
