COVID: 589 new cases in Northern Rivers

There were 589 new covid cases reported in Northern Rivers today.

These results came from 293 positive PCR tests and 296 positive rapid antigen tests.

Tweed Heads 241

There are 36 covid patients in hospital in Northern NSW, with six of these in ICU.

The Northern NSW Local Health District reported one death of a person in their 90s from the Tweed Shire.

NSW reported 13,524 new covid cases. 52 people died from covid overnight.
