COVID: Northern Rivers daily case numbers ‘officially’ drop to 778 with 49 in hospital

There were 778 new covid cases reported in the Northern Rivers today which is a drop from yesterday’s tally of 1073. The positive results from rapid antigen tests are not included in today’s case numbers.

There are 49 covid patients in hospital in Northern NSW with six of these in ICU.

(Tenterfield is in a different Local Health District but postcodes put cases in NNSWLHD)

NSW reported 20,293 new covid cases.

18 deaths were reported — six women, 11 men and a child aged under five.

2030 covid patients are in NSW hospitals with 159 in ICU.
