COVID: The 633 new cases in Northern Rivers does not include RAT results

In the Northern Rivers, 633 new covid cases were reported.
These cases are from PCR testing data and do not include results from rapid antigen tests.
The cases were located in these LGAs:
Richmond Valley 19
Kyogle 5
Clarence Valley 17
Lismore 39
Ballina 86
Byron 115
Tenterfield 1
Tweed Heads 351
There are 47 covid patients in hospital in Northern NSW, with six of these in ICU.
The number in ICU has remained constant all week.
Across NSW there were 48,768 new covid cases reported today. This included 21,748 RAT results and 27,020 positive PCR tests.
There were 20 covid deaths overnight: 11 men and nine women.
One person was aged in their 20s, three people were aged in their 50s, one person was aged in their 60s, four people were in their 70s, nine people were in their 80s and two people were in their 90s.
Of the 20 people who died; 16 people were vaccinated and four people were not vaccinated.
This brings the total number of covid related deaths in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 848.
Most important is the number of people needing to go to hospital. In NSW, there are 2,576 covid cases admitted to hospital including 193 people in intensive care, and 58 of those require ventilation.
