COVID UPDATE: 21 new cases in the Northern Rivers

21 new covid cases were reported in the Northern Rivers today.
13 of the cases were in the Byron Bay area, four are in the Lismore LGA, three in the Ballina LGA and one in the Tweed LGA.
Twenty of the 21 cases are linked to an existing case or cluster.
One of the cases in the Lismore area is under investigation.
A further eight cases have been linked to the Coorabell Hall event on Saturday, December 4, making 16 in total.
A further two cases are now linked to the Woody’s Surf Shack Night Club in Byron Bay.
No cases were reported in Kyogle or Richmond Valley LGAs.
Northern NSW Local Health District urge anyone who attended these venues to isolate and get tested for covid immediately if they have not already done so.
