COVID UPDATE: Three new cases in the Northern Rivers

Three new covid cases were reported for the Northern Rivers today.

One case is in Lismore and the source is under investigation.

Two cases are in Byron Bay, one of which is under investigation and the other is linked to a known case.

Northern NSW Local Health District’s Wayne Jones urged people to get tested and isolate immediately if you have symptoms such as a runny nose, a scratchy or sore throat or are generally feeling unwell.

No covid cases were reported for Kyogle, Clarence and Richmond Valley LGAs.

NSW reported 286 new cases of covid today.

There has been a total of 15 cases of the covid Omicron variant in NSW.
