COVID: 564 new cases, two deaths

In the Northern Rivers, 564 new covid cases were reported today.

234 came from PCR tests and 330 from positive rapid antigen tests.

The LGA locations are from PCR testing only.

There are 46 covid patients in hospital in Northern NSW hospital, with five of these in ICU.

The Northern NSW Local Health District reported the deaths of two people aged in their 80s and 90s from covid. One was from the Tweed Heads area and the other from the Lismore area.

In NSW there were 15,091 positive covid tests.

6,901 results were from rapid antigen tests and 8,190 from PCR testing.

In NSW there are 2,816 hospitalisations with 196 people in ICU.

There were 24 deaths from covid overnight.
