Ute crashes into tree on Mt Lindesay Highway, driver airlifted to hospital

A Ford Ranger ute crashed into a tree on the Mt Lindesay Highway close to Legume at 7am today, Friday, September 8.

The driver and only occupant, a 44 year old man, was airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital because of the remoteness of the crash.

Woodenbong Rural Fire Brigade provided fire protection at the scene.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
