Crowds at Coraki for Macca’s live show

More than 500 people came to Coraki this morning to listen to Macca’s Australia All Over radio show.

It was ABC presenter Ian McNamara’s first live show in two years because of covid restrictions.

The crowd gathered in chairs along the riverbank as Macca chatted to the crowds and interviewed locals including Richmond Valley mayor Robert Mustow, Roz Knights from the Kyogle Lions Club and former boxer Athol McQueen.

Potholes were mentioned many times.

There were market stalls, a free sausage sizzle by Kyogle Lions Club and an auction of sporting memorabilia donated by Athol.

The money raised on the day, Sunday, September 11 will go to local residents and be distributed by the Coraki Rural Transaction Centre.
