A driver is facing multiple driving charges after two pedestrians were hospitalised from a crash in Casino today, Thursday, April 13.
The 57 year old driver was given a roadside breath test that allegedly returned a positive result.
A secondary analysis returned a reading of 0.155, more than three times the 0.05 limit.
The man was arrested and taken to Casino Police Station where he was charged with multiple offences:
● aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm
● causing bodily harm by misconduct in charge of motor vehicle
● dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – driving in a dangerous manner
● driving with high range PCA (Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol) and
● negligent driving.
About 10.45am today, emergency services were called to Barker Street, Casino, following reports two women had been hit by a car.
The driver was refused bail and will face Lismore Local Court on Friday, April 14.
