On Saturday, April 16, head out to your front gate for their visit. If you’d like a photo with them, wave them down. The bikes will ride around Casino with Easter eggs for the kiddies from 10am.

Woodburn: Easter gift packs

Volunteers have been busy putting together 80 gift packs for flood affected families for Easter Sunday at the Woodburn Pub.

The Rod ‘n’ Reel pub kitchen will be open for lunch and the beers will be flowing.

There will be an Easter egg hunt in the park and Chantelle Davis from Woodburn RFS Brigade will be visiting in the fire truck with special furry friend Rhys Cunningham from Green Fingers who will deliver gifts to the children.

On Sunday from 1pm, Easter Bunny arrives at 2pm followed by the egg hunt.

Easter washouts

The Rural Fire Service will be helping with washouts of flooded homes over the Easter long weekend.

Brigades from Clarence Valley and Far North Coast areas will join local crews.

RFS has four large posi track machines to clear mud and debris in those areas that are only becoming accessible now.

It’s been a long seven weeks for our community and it isn’t over yet,

For the next few days over Easter, if you need a wash out of your home or other buildings, call the office number at Casino and the RFS will do their best to help.
