Early this morning, Wednesday, November 29, a B-double crashed at Centre and Dyraaba streets, Casino.

Casino Fire and Rescue crew rushed to the crash site where there was a diesel spill caused by the trailer disengaging from the coupling to the B-double.

Centre Street was blocked at the intersection. A Hazmat crew came from Goonellabah to deal with the spill.

Diesel spilled onto the street.

At about 2am a large crane came from Grafton to lift the trailer onto a prime mover.

After checking for more fuel leaks, the truck and trailer left.

The Fire and Rescue crew made sure the area was safe with a loose absorbent to contain the remaining spilled fuel before the road was reopened.

A crane had to lift the trailer to remove it.
