First Beef Week ambassador ‘jumps’ into new role

ABOVE: Ambassador Joseph Watt with the Beef Week Queen entrants.

Joseph Watt, 16, from Geneva said he didn’t know what he was “jumping into” becoming Beef Week Ambassador.

The Casino High School student was announced as ambassador at the official opening of Beef Week last night, Saturday, May 20.

Joseph was the only entrant so his win was a given. This is the first year Beef Week has selected an ambassador alongside the role of Beef Week Queen.

Queen Kara Porter and Joseph will attend events throughout Beef Week.

Joseph said he went to the info night about becoming an ambassador, and here he is.

Joseph likes to spend time on the family farm at Dobies Bight where they run Angus cattle.

He likes mucking about with motorbikes and tractors.

Expect to see a lot of Joseph during Beef Week.
