#1 Juicy peaches
Southview Orchard will have limited amounts of peaches picked from their farm on Hogarth Range. John and Freida said all the rain has meant they’ve had to pick quickly. Shop local, eat local.
#2 Fresh tarts
Powick’s Pantry from Bonalbo always has freshly baked pastries and tarts. Lemon tarts, chocolate and caramel. Get there early before they sell out.
#3 Pretty field flowers
Field & Flowers have bunches of field flowers from $15. Gray and Sue-Ellen grow their flowers at their property in Swan Bay and arrange them into the prettiest bouquets you’ve ever seen.
#4 Fresh as vegetables
Several stalls have fresh vegetables including broccoli and avocados. We’re talking super fresh vegies that you can buy and take home and cook up a storm.
#5 Make the market thrive
This week’s barbecue is being run by the Casino Rotary Club. The more you buy and the more you eat (tough, I know), the more this weekly market will thrive. And that’s good for Casino and for all of us who want to buy local.
Bonus reason to go to the Casino Lions Farmers Market is the coffee van. Get one before you start shopping.
Head to Crawford Square, South Casino from 8am-11am every Saturday.
