Fundraiser to farewell Lachie, funeral service in January

Lachlan Snadden’s funeral service will be held on Monday, January 10 at Hanging Rock Hall, Wadeville at 2pm. A wake will be held in the hall after the service.

Two days before Christmas Lachlan ‘Lachie” Snadden was killed when his Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a car on Blue Knob Road, near Lilian Rock.

His parents Shelly and Brett Snadden run the Sugar Bowl cafe in Kyogle which has temporarily closed while the family deal with the farewell to their 18 year old son.

Friend Emily Crane has set up a crowd funder to raise money to support the family and for the funeral service for Lachie.

“We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of Lachie’s funeral. We would love to raise $15,000 in order to be able to afford the funeral service,” Emily wrote on the Go Fund Me page.

For parents Shelly and Brett Snadden, there’s is an unimaginable loss.

Lachie was a kind, creative, polite young man who had time for a chat with anyone.

The former Kyogle High School student was a soft, gentle soul who was kind, caring, and a polite gentleman, family members said.

Lachie leaves behind his sisters Tayla, Mia, brother-in-law Cody, and his nieces and nephews.

Emily wants the family to be supported to give Lachie a wonderful memorial to honour his memory.
