Fancy a spiced pumpkin ale? Or are you willing to try a watermelon beer?
The Commercial Hotel is serving both in keeping with the spirit of Kyogle’s Giant Pumpkin and Watermelon Festival on this Saturday.
Publican Nathan Dawes said they were not only serving the themed beers but the pub’s menu also included dishes featuring pumpkin and watermelon.
The judging of the giant vegetables happens at 11am on Saturday, January 15 in Stratheden St.
After that head to the Top Pub for a fruity beer.
The watermelon beer is from Grifters Brewing Company.
The spiced pumpkin ale is from Scenic Rim Brewers and it is recommended to be served ‘bloody cold’.
On Saturday check out the artwork in the old IGA building, guess the weight of the pumpkin at Harley & Co and enjoy the market stalls in Kyogle’s Stratheden St from 8am.
