For swimmers not carrying cash, Bonalbo and Woodenbong pools now have EFTPOS.
Pool goers can use EFTPOS to pay for entry to the pools or to buy refreshments in the canteens.
Kyogle mayor Danielle Mulholland said it was a positive step forward.
“This brings the Bonalbo and Woodenbong pools into line with Kyogle pool and I’m sure it will be appreciated by locals and visitors alike,” Ms Mulholland said.
Bonalbo based councillor Tom Cooper said he was delighted Bonalbo and Woodenbong residents now had access to a service most people took for granted.
“This is great news for people west of the range and will mean more people will be able to use the two pools as not everyone carries cash these days,” he said.
