Pensioners, veterans and social housing tenants can get a new washing machine at a discounted price of $250.
The State Government has introduced a scheme to provide new, energy and water-efficient washing machines at a discounted price to 8000 eligible households.
The program aims to ease cost of living pressures as the front-loader washing machine will reduce water and energy bills.
Eligible applicants can trade in their old water and energy inefficient top loader machine and receive a high-end Westinghouse 8kg front loader for $250.
The Good Guys are providing the discounted machines, with the fee covering delivery, installation and a two-year warranty as well as removal and recycling of their old appliance.
Applications are now open online for all Centrelink or Department of Veterans Affairs-issued concession card holders in NSW.
Before applying, applicants should check if their laundry space can house the Westinghouse model, which is 850mm high, 600mm wide and 660mm deep.
