Garry the galah is missing.

Owners Melissa Smyth and her daughter Zenayah Smyth said their pet went missing at about 10am yesterday, April 14.

“When uncovering her in the morning, the cage door must have got caught on the cloth and pulled it open for her to fly out,” Melissa said.

“We found her once and my dad climbed a tree to get her and nearly got her but she was spooked and flew off towards Fawcett Street heading for town.

“We have walked the whole of Kyogle looking for her.”

Garry has a medical condition, Melissa said, and will need medication soon otherwise she’ll be in pain.

Garry went missing from Kyogle Road/Moore Street near the Homestead area.

Garry will wave hello but is scared of men, Melissa said.

Garry is female and 16 years old.

“If you see a galah the best way to tell if it is her is to wave at her and say hello because she will most likely wave back and make a little noise,” Melissa said.

A reward is on offer. the contact number if you find Garry is 0423 658 137.
