Homemade Anzac biscuits are the best

Ingredients

1 cup raw sugar

1 cup plain flour

1 cup rolled oats

¾ cup coconut

1 tablespoon Golden Syrup

4oz butter

1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda

2 tablespoons of hot water

Instructions     

Line two baking trays with baking paper and preheat oven to 190C.

Add all of the dry ingredients to a large bowl(except the soda) and mix.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter and syrup together until melted and mixed in then take off heat.

In a separate small bowl mix the soda and water together then add to the butter and syrup mixture causing it to foam.

Add to the dry ingredients and mix through.

Roll into small balls and place on the trays.

Bake for about 15 minutes (swapping trays halfway) or until dark golden in colour.
