If it’s not bolted down … two aluminium picnic tables were unbolted and stolen from a Bonalbo park last night or early this morning Tuesday, December 17.
Bonalbo Progress Association president Kirsty Schache said the theft had been reported to Kyogle Council and to police.
“School holidays start next Wednesday and it’s the busiest time in the park,” she said.
Norman Johnston Park is in the centre of Bonalbo and there is a playground with an old steamroller for children to climb on and an oval.
Families have picnics under the shelter in the shade and parents sit there to watch their children play.
The barbecue sits lonely under the shelter – without the tables that were bolted to the concrete.

Somehow, thieves have undone the bolts and taken the tables and the attached bench seats.
They are clearly identifiable as council picnic tables, so it will be obvious if they’re sitting in someone’s backyard.
“Please bring them back,” Ms Schache said.
“If you know where they are, let someone know.”
The tables cost about$2500 to replace, Kyogle Council said.
Anyone who has information on activities in the park area last night or this morning can call Kyogle Council 6632 1611 or Casino Police on 6662 0099.
