While you were sleeping, a huge amount of rain fell on our region.

Bentley had 99mm in the past 24 hours. Casino 81mm and 79 mm fell at Eden Creek.

Lana O’Meley from Fairy Hill said they had 110mm measured in a rain gauge last night.

Richmond River and Wilson River currently sit below flood levels but remain on Flood Watch with the Bureau of Meteorology.

A gale warning was issued for the Byron Coast for today and tomorrow. This will impact Evans Head.

With rain predicted for the next six days, things are going to get even soggier.
