An inverter and batteries for a solar charging station have been stolen from Main Beach in Evans Head.

This solar charging station was bought through State Government funding after the floods to give the community a relocatable resource in the event of a disaster.

The charging station was designed for disaster evacuees to charge their phones to contact family and friends.

If anyone has witnessed any unusual behaviour near the charging station, or are aware of who may be responsible, contact Richmond Valley Council on 6660 0300.

All information supplied will be treated confidentially.
