Cat owners are encouraged to keep their cats at home with funding available for cat enclosures, cat netting and other cat products.
Kyogle Council in partnership with RSPCA NSW has extended the submission date for cat owners to receive funds from the Keeping Cats Safe At Home project
Five cat owners could win a voucher worth up to $500 to buy products to help keep their cats safe at home.
Expressions of interest to win one of five vouchers will now close at 4.30pm on Friday, October 11.
The giveaway is open to cat owners who live in the Kyogle Council area and whose cats are registered and microchipped.
Putting in an expression of interest is easy. Go here and fill in the online form.
Hard copy application forms are also available from the council office at 1 Stratheden Street, Kyogle.
The RSPCA recommends keeping cats safe at home for these reasons:
Indoor cats live longer, healthier lives if they don’t roam away from home as they’re protected from dangers such as traffic, fights with other animals, and exposure to diseases.
Keeping your cat inside your property, helps to protect wildlife.
