Kyogle Council seeks to buy Roxy Lane land

The land is at the junction of Geneva Street and Roxy Lane.

The go-ahead was given for the council to buy land in Roxy Lane at the Kyogle Council meeting today, Monday, October 28

It was an extraordinary meeting (not the usual monthly one) where the audit report was given and councillor delegates were discussed (more to come on that).

At the end, the meeting went into confidential to discuss a possible land acquisition in Roxy Lane.

IndyNR.com had to leave the chambers because that part of the meeting dealt with commercial information of a confidential nature.

After the discussion and voting, deputy mayor John Burley who was running the meeting said acting general manager Marcus Schintler could pursue the purchase of a splay of land on the junction of Roxy Lane and Geneva Street.

Purchase of the land will make it easier for trucks to turn into Roxy Lane.
