Lions offer $5000 for two bright, young dreamers

Are you a young person aged 16–25 years old who would like a financial helping hand with your future?

Kyogle Lions Club has announced two bursaries of $5000 on offer for two young people.

One $5000 bursary will be open to everyone in the age group. The other $5000 bursary will be open to young Indigenous people.

Lions Club president Tony Lickiss said the club was keen to get the word out and planned to have the bursaries decided by the end of March.

Applicants will make a presentation to the Kyogle Lions Club about why they should get the money.

“The idea is to give a young person a hand in life,” Mr Lickiss said.

The money could be for tools for an apprenticeship, university expenses or to help a musician with their career.

“There are no limits on anyone,” Mr Lickiss said.

Information about how to apply will be on the Kyogle Lions Club Facebook page soon and IndyNR.com will give out the details as soon as they are available.
