Kyogle Council has asked residents to avoid all non-essential travel as they work to restore access.

There will be areas that staff cannot access, and the council asked that people report issues to help them identify the full extent of the damage and make decisions on priority repairs.

It will likely take several days to restore access to some areas, and we ask for your patience and understanding as we work through the network, the council said.

You can report issues:

Call  Kyogle Council during business hours on 6632 1611, after hours and for emergencies on 6626 6800.

Email at council@kyogle.nsw.gov.au

Or use this online form

If you need assistance call SES on 132500

Residents in flood affected areas will be trying to clean up their homes and businesses as soon as the flood starts to recede.

The council has asked that people avoid the residential streets in the Flats area in particular, as there are narrow roads with soft shoulders and limited room for access and clean up.

“If you are not actively helping, please do not enter these areas. We ask that you show respect for those affected and give them space while they deal with this difficult time.”
