NSW SES issued a warning for parts of Kyogle to evacuate but Kyogle Council’s infrastructure manager Tony Lickiss has informed the SES headquarters that the evac warning is not required.
“Wiangaree is at 2.4m and our trigger is 10m,” Mr Lickiss said.
“And then it takes 14hrs to get to Kyogle for minor flooding (no homes impacted).”
SES evacuation orders remain in place for parts of Lismore.
