Some residents at Evans Head are concerned about the growing numbers of campers in vans parking at Chinamans Beach and Shark Bay car parks.
A resident sent IndyNR.com a photo of six camper vans at Shark Bay at 7am today, Wednesday, September 11.
Apparently, a few locals got vocal at the campers at Chinamans Beach and the vans moved onto Shark Bay.
One resident said she saw an overnight camper washing breakfast dishes under the beach showers.
Richmond Valley Council said a call was received this morning about campers in the car park at Shark Bay.
“It is illegal to camp there, signage is in place highlighting that fact,” the council said.
Council rangers will be attending the car park.
